Do you want to be close to the Hollywood scene, but far enough where you can find quiet and less congestion? Then Bakersfield is the right place for you. Located in Kern County, this beautiful city has long summers, and winters that only see lows in the mid-50s. The last time it snowed was January 1999. Bakersfield is full of arts and culture as it is the residence for Kern County Museum and Buena Vista Museum of Natural History. They also host horse shows as well as festivals throughout the year.
