Deborah Shafer, MBA
With over 10 years of Nursing, Education and Healthcare experience Ms. Shafer
is recognized as a leader in her field. Ms. Shafer holds a Masters Degree in Nursing
and a Masters Degree in Education from Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio). For
the past three years she has been an adjunct professor at Xavier, conducting the
medical-surgical component of education in the clinical and classroom setting
for junior baccalaureate nursing students. In 2004 she was recognized and the
recipient of the Xavier Ida Casey award for professionalism. Ms. Shafer has over
five years of clinical expertise in adult health and intensive care nursing. She
is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and the American Council
on Exercise.
Mark Edward DiLuciano, MD
Chairman, Department of Anesthesiology Children's Hospital Medical Center of
Akron, Ohio
Dr. DiLuciano brings over 18 years of Children's Anesthesiology and medical
knowledge to TaleMed. In conjunction to his role as Chairman of the Department
of Anesthesiology, Dr. DiLuciano is a member of the Adjunct Staff, Division
of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. DiLuciano
is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology Northeastern Ohio
Universities College of Medicine. Prior to graduating from the Medical College
of Ohio at Toledo in1988, Dr. DiLuciano graduated Cum Laude from the University
of Toledo with a B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. Currently, Dr.
DiLuciano is associated with the following Medical Associations: Fellow, American
Academy of Pediatrics, Greater Akron Medical Society, American Society of Anesthesiology,
Ohio Society of Anesthesiologist, and the Ohio State Medical Association.
Arne R. Pedersen, MBA
Mr. Pedersen is Chief Operating Officer of HCM ( a national provider of Healthcare
Human Resource Solutions). He has a passion for customer alignment, delivering
customer value, and employee economic value added with a mission first - people
always philosophy. His career path extends across a variety of industries, roles,
and functions in both Corporate America and the United States Army. Prior to
HCM he was in charge of Strategic Consulting, and Outsourcing for Anthem Inc,
a Fortune 50 company. It was here that he designed, developed, implemented,
and managed a multi-million dollar program which consistently delivered high
quality resources and saved the company over $90MM in eight years. Mr. Pedersen
has also served in a variety of management roles in various industries to include
investments and insurance. Mr. Pedersen is a veteran for the United States Army
and has served in various Command and Operations staff roles over a highly successful
ten year career and commanded a tank unit in the 1990-1991 Gulf War.
Mr. Pedersen has an MBA, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and his
BA from Indiana University.
Doug Stewart, MD
A diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Stewart has conducted
research under National Institutes of Health grants and has gained a reputation
as one of the top Anesthesiologist in the country. Dr. Stewart has been a member
of the board of directors and has served as secretary of AAC since 1991. A graduate
of case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Stewart earned both his bachelor’s
and medical degrees from this leading medical institution. He is a member of
the international Anesthesia Research Society.
